VENTURE FUND

World Summit Global Venture Fund is an initiative between the partners World Summit LLC  and Fund Capital Partners LLC. The fund will be managed by the joint management company UVF with a first closing of funding aimed at greater than $65,000,000 a total FUND I capital of $100,000,000.  The Fund has a 3% annual management fee and 70/30 carry.

The UVF will solely make investments into market-proven, profitable, and scalable start-ups that have benefited from the globally televised series TNU and its touring promotional summit events.

The principals of the UVF are seasoned, accredited VCs and fund managers from the WS network. Fund I will raise $100M to invest as follows:

  • $15MM will buy 10% equity of 20 companies selected by an experienced VC committee to participate for a reality television accelerator TNU
  • $10MM will be invested serving as a grand prize the winner of TNU and earning UVF an additional 25% equity (for a total of 35%) of that company
  • UVF has the right to co-invest at 30% discount into any of the other 19 companies should they receive outside investment
  • The remaining capital – approximately $50M will be used for follow-on rounds into FUND I portfolio companies to maintain UVF proportional interest in the companies.
  • A combination of the principal of TNU and UVF. UVF expects to exist the majority of it’s portfolio in 6 years at a 10x return to the LPs.  Of course, this is always depending on market conditions. but UVF expects based on their unique investment thesis to always outperform the average market.

WSP’s flagship and first television media production is an accelerator reality TV series titled UNICORN. WSP produces corporate videos to support all of the WS family’s productions.

WSP produces a mix of business, variety and educational (virtual & physical) events Internationally including a series of Summits. UNICORN is an innovative and powerful business accelerator as a reality television series that transparently documents the epic journey of a startup, where teams compete for the ultimate prize of up to a $5 million investment in their company.

UNICORN will test and stress the strength of each company’s team through a sequence of 12 challenges, and will feature celebrity guest hosts, judges, consultants, mentors, and business leaders. The series will follow the struggles, victories and everyday challenges that companies face – through startup, growth, maturity, and decline… or renewal and success. 

WORLD SUMMIT GLOBAL VENTURE FUND (WSGFV)

The creators of THE NEXT UNICORNS understand the unique value proposition of participating in a competition on national television featuring celebrities and influential business leaders. Therefore, all companies auditioning for the series are required to gift 1% Founder’s equity shares to WSGVF, and the 20 finalists are each required to gift 10% Founder’s equity shares. 

Should outside investors wish to invest, all participating companies agree to give WSGVF the right to co-invest at a 30% discount. If each season creates just one ‘Unicorn’ (regardless of if they are the winner or not), our 10%+ stake alone in that company will be worth $200MM+. 

Furthermore, WSGVF will invest $5MM for an additional 25% stake into the winning company valued at a minimum of $400MM. Any additional co-investments can lead to an additional $400MM.
